COVID-19 Update 24th July 2020

Opening hours:

Mon & Fri 9am - 6pm
Tues, Weds Thurs 9am - 7:30pm
Sat  9am – 12pm

Consultations:

When bringing your pet to us for a consultation we ask that you call from your car on arrival and inform us of the bay number you’re parked in. One of our team will then come out to meet you and you can either stay outside or attend the consultation providing;

  • you sanitise your hands coming in and leaving the practice
  • only one client per consult
  • you wear a mask (masks are availble for 99p if you forget to bring one)
  • you respect the 2m social distancing rule

Screens have been installed in the consult rooms and around reception for everyone’s protection. We ask you to pay by card where possible. Video consults are still available and should be used for all appropriate cases to avoid unnecessary travel.

Collections:

A one way system has been introduced if you wish to come into reception to collect any medications, food, or drop something off to us. Please enter through the Small Animal door and exit through the Equine reception door. If there are already clients standing in reception, please wait outside until they leave. In line with the new rules, please wear a face covering when entering the building. If you prefer to stay outside we are very happy to place your items on the collections table outside the front door, just give us a call when you arrive on 01572 722646.

Please don’t come to the practice if you are showing any of the symptoms of Covid-19 or have been in contact with anyone with symptoms in the last 14 days, even if it’s an emergency. Please arrange for someone else to bring your pet in for you.

Video consultations will remain available for appropriate cases in order to avoid unnecessary travel to the practice.

As we increase the amount of work we undertake we will be doing everything we can to keep our staff safe and we ask for your cooperation in achieving this. Please respect the 2m social distancing at all times.

Payments can now also be made online, by selecting ‘Oakham Veterinary Hospital’ from the drop down list and using your client ID number as the reference - Make an online payment

We understand that these are difficult times and are trying our best to continue to provide the best veterinary care to our clients whilst following government advice to keep everyone safe. We politely remind you that any disrespectful or aggressive behaviour towards our staff will not be tolerated.
