Fran Henson

MA, Vet MB, Cert Eq Surg (Ortho), Cert Eq Medicine (Internal Medicine) PhD DipECVSMR MRCVS

Fran graduated from the University of Cambridge in 1992. After a Residency at the University of Cambridge she continued as a Senior Lecturer until 2019 before moving to the Animal Health Trust (AHT) as Head of Orthopaedics. Following the closure of the AHT Fran moved to the University of Nottingham where she is a clinical assistant professor in Equine Orthopaedics. Fran is an RCVS Specialist in Equine Orthopaedics and a Diplomate of the European College of Veterinary Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation. Her clinical interests are in back pathology, lameness and poor performance and she enjoys working with all types of horses and ponies.

Outside of work Fran enjoys her horses (Mountain and Moorlands), dogs (Italian Greyhounds) and cats (British Shorthairs)!
