Vicky graduated in July 2012 from the University of Liverpool. She joined Oakham as an intern in early 2013 after working in equine ambulatory practice in the North West for the previous 6 months. After completing her internship, Vicky joined our stud team and is now responsible for the reproduction work in the hospital. During the spring and summer the majority of her time is spent on stud work which includes scanning mares, semen collection from resident and visiting stallions and sharing foal watch duty on the 25+ mares that foal at the hospital every year. Vicky is also a crucial member of the critical foal care team and regularly attends courses to enhance her training in this area.
Outside the hospital, Vicky can be found on the eventing circuit where she successfully competes her horse Heatheroak Harry up to CCI**. She also enjoys socialising with friends, keeping fit and spending time with her dogs Darcy and Nessa.
